This award winning project designed by acclaimed architect Bing Thom, recognizes British Columbia’s past, present and future. Using heavy timber construction, the wood was interpreted in a contemporary manner and complemented by a large parabolic, segmented structural glass  wall system supplied by Columbia Glazing Systems Inc. The structural glass wall spans the upper and lower levels of the design and leans forward at an angle of 5°. In 2003, Columbia was awarded the VRCA Trade Contractor Award of Excellence for the Surrey Central City Project.
